Brussels-SMES-B

Since 2013, the not-for-profit association Santé Mentale et Exlusion Sociale – Belgique (SMES-B) (mental health and social exclusion – Belgium) has been working on a Housing First project in Brussels.

In accordance with the Housing First model, the project directly rehouses people who have no homes, or who find it difficult to access accommodation due to any number of problems associated with social precariousness, mental health or addiction.
The type of support offered is multi-disciplinary, global, mobile, can vary in intensity and is adapted to reflect each person’s situation.

The project is supported by broad-ranging partnerships with associations and public organisations.
